* It added the META-INF directory with a single MANIFEST.MF file containing:

Manifest-Version: 1.0
Class-Path: 
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Class-Path: 

* It added an empty WEB-INF/lib directory.

* It looks like the only changes to the web.xml was formatting.  * I don't think I have auto formatting on, unless it is on by default.
