1) Is there an actual /dev folder in your source folders ? (i.e. MyProject/WebContent/WEB-INF/dev) ?
There could be from "old" times - remove it please.

shame on me, I forgot to check this  :( 

I assumed that removing in the project properties Web Deployment Assembly tag, this also removed the folder, but no

now it works ok again
