Just an FYI, AFAIK the folks working on AS 7 on a day-to-day basis are managing git from the command line, not the IDE. I believe this is true for both those using Eclipse and those using IDEA.

When we started with git, I thought I'd hate not using the IDE for source control, but I've found I don't mind at all.
