I have a requirement where i have to execute soem action with out leaving the task node on updation of process variables. Can you advise how we can do that

My use case is as below

I have a tasknode and is assigned to people based on process variables. If the process variable is updated, i want to execute some action with out leaving the node and hence am wondering what event type can be used? Do i have to follow some other approach?
