This was a bug in 7.1.1. and it has been fixed in 7.1.2.Final. What I did was that I downloaded the source code and replaced the ManifestClassPathProcessor.java and ServerLogger.java with the one in 7.1.2.Final. Then I built the jboss and used the server module from this build. This was the fix for me.
