Tycho guys have committed changes with additional optimizations. Can you please retry your benchmark using the new Tycho master and report your results here:  https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=373806 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=373806 ?
You could put a link to that page on the bug.

Could you also add to that pages some informations about your environment and the command you use to invoke build please?
