Scott, your numbering scheme does not work anymore with "mvn deploy".

It deployed
http://snapshots.jboss.org/maven2/org/jboss/javaee/jboss-jaspi-api/1.0.0.BETA1--SNAPSHOT/

I use "mvn deploy" so that it gives me the artifacts for the svn rep.
