[jboss-dev] Updated status for AS5 Beta4

Hi Folks,

This is yet another update of the AS Beta4 status. We want to be over with all development 
tasks by the end of this week (Feb/1st), to leave one more week for final testing and packaging.

Components updates are over at this point and big thanks for a job well done, since we 
applied like a dozen of them for this Beta release.

Last minute updates can only be performed if they provide fixes without introducing any 
regression, like another MC beta to sort out JBAS-4292.

I'd like to remind you also that for the next AS5 CR release, all jboss libraries must reach 
a GA state, so we are talking having those delivered around mid-March.

We are back to acceptable boot times (~30 secs), so the parent issue was closed. If other 
areas of improvement exist, we can still open subtasks, or link to this task. The major goal 
is for Seam apps to perform at an acceptable level.

Profile service completeness and demonstrated usage through the new
management console.

Mark Spritzler is looking at demonstrating the new console performing basic management 
operations over the profile service. Alexey is filling in the missing pieces on the server side.

This is still waiting on Scott, unless we can re-assign it. It doesn't seem like a priority

EJB3 is in the critical path, especially for AS5 CR1, so any help is very much needed to get 
there. Speak to Carlo or me if you have spare development cycles.

Need everyone to help with a good JBAS JIRA cleanup, we still have some 107 issues
scheduled for Beta4. Anything not marked as blocker/critical will be deferred, so please 
have a look at your issues and define proper priorities, or better, reschedule or resolved them.
