Its an older rhel box running:
Linux succubus.starkinternational.com 2.6.9-42.0.2.ELsmp #1 SMP Thu Aug 
17 17:57:31 EDT 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

and the sun jdk 1.5.0_14

with the updated descriptor, its starting fine.
