Are you running this singly or as part of the jboss-all-config-tests test target?  That was the issue with other test regressions we've seen with 5.0.1.  They would pass running singly but not "collectively".

I have tried two times, first using JDK6 update 12 and then JDK6 update 
5. It works for me.
