The remoting example helloworld doesn't appear to include a mechanism for deployment to a standalone tomcat, as the other examples do.   I tried to hack the build myself, but wasn't able to make things work.  Asked on the forum and it appears as though there's no reason this couldn't work, it just wasn't included with this release.
