The Inbound JCA Mail adapter needs improved logging. Pariculary in areas such as: 

MailActivation.java:
      catch (Exception e)
      {
         log.error("Failed to execute folder check, spec="+spec);
      }
	
This should be in addition to any output provided by the Mail service itself.
