I agree.. there seems to be an infrastructure for this (see http://help.eclipse.org/help32/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.wst.doc.isv/html/plugin_descriptions_WST/ws.html), but I cant find much documentation.. I'll download the WTP sources and have a look.. ;-)
