Done. When running both 2.4.1 SP2 and 5.0 beta-2, we see

On 2.4:
 [WARN] [IncomingPacketHandler (channel=DrawGroupDemo)] TP.handleIncomingPacket(): packet from 192.168.5.2:4993 has different version (4416) from ours (2.4.1). Packet is discarded


On 2.5:

[WARN] [Incoming Thread,DrawGroupDemo,192.168.5.2:4992] TP$IncomingPacket.run(): packet from 192.168.5.2:4989 has different version (2.4.1) from ours (2.5.0). Packet is discarded
