According to http://docs.jboss.com/jbossas/guides/j2eeguide/r2/en/html_single/#d0e6877 
its quite easy to do. So as I understand instead of specyfing connection properties for constructing InitialContext, admin just points to JNDI where InitialContext for the connection can be looked up.
