The default PersistenceUnitTransactionType is JTA in Java EE and RESOURCE_LOCAL in Java SE.  Currently HEM returns RESOURCE_LOCAL no matter what.  HEM is fixed but until it revs in JBoss head, I have copied the persistence.xml parsing to EJB3 project.

Please remove org.jboss.ejb3.entity.PersistenceXmlLoader from SVN when HEM revs and revert to Hibernate version.
