What do you mean with wrong resolution? 

We will have to deal with the dependencies and/or defaulting of the attributes on a case by case basis. So if you encounter places where the behaviour is illogical, don't hesitate to shoot... (as if you would hesitate ;-) )
Concerning the XSD, this should be the master document IMO. So it should certainly be up to date. If it is not, it is a bug...
