I've downloaded binary distribution of portal 2.6 from http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=jboss&filename=jboss-portal-2.6.zip&use_mirror=puzzle

...I see that there isn't portal-basic-samples.sar into samples directory......so you cannot to use test portlets but you can only to see the tags

.....an other error is jboss-portal-ha.sar. It contains only samples directory
