Like I commented in forums thread the source code change is not needed. Just user "(cn=LasnName\\\, FirstName, dc=....)" in roleSearchFilter. I tested that with special characters in DNs roles are resolved correctly by MembershipModules. The only thing that was not ok was LDAPUserModuleImpl.createUser() which was not handling such usernames correctly. I added simple workaround for now.
