the only real problem i can see is backwards compatibility.  i tweaked commons el in such a way that jbpm didn't have to make a distinction between value bindings and method bindings.

going forward, we will have to break that sooner or later, i think.  the next minor version increment is 3.3. which is still a long time ahead.
