but have you seen that theme? You cannot to talk about matter of taste. Images have twisted colors......I think that anyone, if it see it,  could to talk the same thing. 
But since 2.6 CR2 version of portal this theme is worsen because white background is became absolute. If I add a page of a wide height in the portal, that background is always in the same position and it make it disagreeable. It can to be resolved put off some absolute heights into :

       core\src\bin\portal-core-war\themes\phalanx\portal_style.css

rows to put off are:

       186       :       height: 300px;

       198       :       height: 300px;

       208       :       height: 300px;
