Cannot deploy ServiceMBeanSupport as an mc bean with @JMX

If you try to deploy a ServiceMBeanSupport subclass as a plain mc bean with an @JMX annotation, the lifecycle methods don't get invoked.

This is the cause of the HASingletonElectionPolicyTestCase failure; probably the cause of issues with deploy-hasingleton deployment as well.
