This task is just a TODO Block on Code. (I didn't want to leave a TODO without a JIRA task).

MinaHandler::exceptionCaught is closing the IoSession directly instead of calling some sort of disconnect method on MinaConnector.

I'm not sure, but I have the impression this should aways be closed on MinaConnector.
