Either you misunderstood me or I misunderstood you. There is no "/key" at the point when the exception is thrown. I've added a simple test for this src\test\java\org\jboss\test\metadata\ejb\AbstractMappedMetaDataUnitTestCase.java. Can you check it out and comment again? Thanks.
