This was done in a less invasive change by keeping the Bootstrap interface the same, and adding an MCServer extension to Server that provides access to the Kernel and KernelDeployments:

   public Kernel getKernel();
   public Map<String, KernelDeployment> getDeployments();
}

The org.jboss.bootstrap.microcontainer.ServerImpl implements MCServer
