Good point, looks like this thing has become obsolete:
   } catch (Exception e) {

Instead I should do something like
if (packageBuilder.hasErrors()) {
  // throw a runtime exception with mentions at least one of the errors

Logging all errors might seem like a good idea, but I should definition throw an exception up the stack I think.
