I see that this issue was moved to 6.0A1.  That is concerning.  This issue is of critical priority and for good reason because it prevents usage of the farm deployment service for large projects.  I would expect large projects to be the majority of users for farmed deployment so essentially not fixing this in 5.x is saying that farmed deployment is not a feature of 5.x anymore.  That is what it is, I just want to be clear about the implications here.
