I was suggested to create a feature request for this since it doesn't exists in JBM2.0 yet.

I understand this feature is not probably not part of JMS standard, but one can see it has great use on certain situation where compression is needed to transfer the message data.

It would be nice to have a configurable setting in the deployment config file, and API level to support this feature.
