The ability in AS 5 to specify different cache configurations per webapp (see "cacheName" discussion on http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-13201) gives sufficient flexibility to allow separate configuration of the JBoss Cache syncReplTimeout on a per-webapp basis. I don't want to push the configuration of this up into jboss-web.xml; seems too fine a detail.
