It can happen that the list of consumers presented to the user gets de-synchronized with the database state (this happens if two different Portal processes modify the database at the same time (cluster for example)). Though this is really rare use case (i.e. it's not likely that 2 administrators will modify the consumers at the same time using different Portal processes to do so), the only current way to re-synchronize with the DB is to restart the server.
