Note: this worked in JBoss 4.2.  It was a useful means of controlling transaction boundaries without resorting to bean-managed transactions (by having non-transactional methods exposed by one interface call transactional methods exposed by a different interface, but all implemented by the same bean/service (because maybe both functions need access to some internal shared state).
