There was some issue with the aop proxies passing in the client metadata, so I just created secured ejb3 facades for the ProfileService, ManagementView, and DeploymentManager. The org.jboss.test.profileservice.testsecure.ProfileServiceUnitTestCase illustrates basic usage.
