Ok so the difference is that in 2.6 we were filtering out portlet session attributes when requesting attributes from the application scope and not in 2.7
The spec doesn't specify one way or the other so it's safer to not filter them out (read 2.7 behaviour is good and 2.6 one isn't bad).
