    Description: Reduce/eliminate the problem of JUnit timing out the test when there are failures, thus losing visibility into which methods failed.  Create separate tests classes for each method. Reduce number of System.gc() calls done as part of simple sanity checks. Try to improve the memory-fill algorithm used to flush soft references.  (was: Create separate tests classes for each method.
