jgroups-all.jar in 2.8 was *not* created with maven, but with ant, that's why you see the old manifest.

I'm not too familiar with maven or OSGI, Bulat submitted this patch...

You better ask these questions on the jg-dev mailing list, not many folks are watching JIRA issues...
