It's a vision.  Basically the intent is to avoid the situation we had noted in JBAS-7723 where two different versions of the JPA APIs exist.  One being compatibile the other not.    And to have a single place that all projects - and products - can consume them knowing they are the correct to the spec associated to them. Having said that, there is some concern about duplicating the sources in this project and it how it can be done efficiently and effectively.  Suggestions welcome.
