Note that when I add the settings as in http://community.jboss.org/wiki/MavenGettingStarted-Users it does start working but I wonder why this would be necessary. Could it be because the project depends on a SNAPSHOT version of the parent pom? I guess this issue might be local to the JBossOSGi project in that if it specifies the public snapshot repo in its own parent pom this could be made to work?
