In contexts where there are many workitem definitions, the palette will be much friendlier if workitems can be split into separate categories that can be pinned or closed individually.  I'd suggest an optional drawer name at the top level of the workitem .conf file, and mapping each such .conf file to a separate drawer - but there are many good alternatives.
