The APIs in this project are built using JDK 1.5 as the default settings inherited from  the jboss-specs-parent:
https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/content/groups/public/org/jboss/spec/jboss-specs-parent/1.0.0.Beta2/jboss-specs-parent-1.0.0.Beta2.pom

A compliant version of the  EJB 3.1 APIs from this project can be found at:
https://repository.jboss.org/nexus/content/groups/public/org/jboss/spec/javax/ejb/jboss-ejb-api_3.1_spec/1.0.0.Beta2/

However, the EJB 3.1 pom does override the default to use JDK 1.6 as seen here:
http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/specs/trunk/jboss-ejb-api_3.1_spec/pom.xml
