See mail list thread. Task here is to add a new optional parameter "include-defaults", with a default value of "true" to the handlers for the global operations that return attribute values. If "true" and the attribute has an undefined value in the model, read the DescriptionProvider for the resource and if there is a "default" descriptor for the attribute, store it's value in the result.
