With two members in a group running on one machine, we started six members on another machine at the same time, we saw lots of merge failure/drop message warnings. If we kill/restart the six members on the second machine several times, the warning messages will never end. 

This seems similar to the problem described in https://github.com/belaban/JGroups/blob/ac0419d34f58ea4c22320435917ad80f826d6c05/doc/bugs/MergeProblem.txt. I wonder if that bug fixed.
