Great, It's getting much better now. I tried the following log4j appenders:

* SmtpAppender --> Successful
* DailyRollingFileAppender --> Successful
* A custom logger (extending AppenderSkeleton) --> Successful after using another logj4 Layout than this used by jboss-logging (Nullpointer in the FormatterLayout, but could not yet debug it as I didn't found the source code) , but maybe something has to change in our implementation of our appender...

Just one thing, I don't know if has something to do with the fix bu the STDOUT are now shown twice in console, except if I remove the CONSOLE handler.
