It's confusing: what is the current official update site? I know of these ways:
- 1) According to http://www.jboss.org/drools/downloads the update site is http://downloads.jboss.com/drools/updatesite3.5/ (note that none of the milestones have been uploaded there) (note that its not split up per ganymede, galileo, helios like JBoss Tools)
- 2) But also on http://www.jboss.org/drools/downloads you can download the eclipse zip to have a local update site directory (which is available for the milestones too)
- 3) JBoss tools includes drools, so there are a couple of update site there, such as http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/ganymede/
- 4) In development, to build from source, it's a matter of following https://github.com/droolsjbpm/droolsjbpm-tools/blob/master/drools-eclipse/org.drools.updatesite/pom.xml#L17
Do we want to keep and maintain 1)? If so, updating it should be part of the release checklist. If not (which I am in favor of), we just link the download page to JBoss Tools download page.
Either way, we should keep 2) (but clearly explain the difference).
