James, could you look at these? Specifically, cases where a subsystem is writing a default value to the xml even though it wasn't in the original xml (and thus shouldn't be in the model.) The rule should be, if it's defined in the model, we write it to xml, whether the value is the default or not. If it's undefined in the model, we don't write the default to xml. If it's not in the model but the xsd says it's required in the xml, that's a bug.
