I modified the standalone.xml file in standalone/configuration folder.
I changed port to 80 in <socket-binding name="http" port="8080"/> and changed bind address in <inet-address value="${jboss.bind.address.management:127.0.0.1}"/> both for management and public.
But if I use the default values, the same thing happens. So it looks like the administration console doesn't work with the out-of-the-box install.
