Stan Silvert commented on AS7-2340:
-----------------------------------
Jim is complaining about the list/details paradigm that we are using all over the console. That hasn't changed. I think the real problem is that there are not enough visual cues to make you understand that when you click on something in the list you are then allowed to edit below.
I think Jim was one of the guys who wanted "remove" and "edit" icons in the table. This allows the user to "point and grunt" at the action he wants.
We could do this and open a tabbed pop-up for editing, like I mentioned yesterday. I'm thinking we probably don't want to tackle that right now. It wouldn't be that hard to improve this for subystems that use the view framework. But all the other parts of console would need to be converted by hand to the new paradigm.

> The Log Level listing and the Handler list should be drop downs "List Boxes" to easily see /change the elements in logging. The paradigm of having an editing box at the bottom of the page is not very intuitive.
