Hi all,

does this change mean the end for sub-profiling idea. What a pity! A profile extending by means of sub-profiles would be a very useful approach. 
Imagine hundred  applications running in the same domain, which would be using the same default profile. But each application would like to have e.g. different logging configuration: levels, appenders etc. Without sub-profiling we need to create a separate profile for all applications requiring even small differences to the default profile and these profile will have up to 99% the same content as default.
Assume we did so. On a profile update we have to change all hundreds profiles.

That's why we are unhappy to resign sub-profiling idea.
