Scott Marlow commented on AS7-2184:
-----------------------------------

Internally, during the deployment of the persistence unit definition, we are adding a incorrectly adding a dependency on the DataSource.

Instead of adding a dependency on:

jboss.naming.context.java.module.JavaCompEnvContextBug.JavaCompEnvContextBug.env.jdbc.ExampleDS

We added a dependency on:

jboss.naming.context.java.comp.JavaCompEnvContextBug.JavaCompEnvContextBug.JavaCompEnvContextBug.env.jdbc.ExampleDS

> Project: Application Server 7
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: JPA / Hibernate, VFS
> Affects Versions: 7.0.2.Final
> Environment: Hibernate 3.6.7, AS 7.0.2 (also fails on AS 6.1)

> Assignee: Scott Marlow
> Priority: Minor
>
> Works in AS5.1 and earlier, fails in AS6.1 and AS 7.0.2. Standard web.xml configuration, no additional listeners.
> Deployment using <jta-data-source>java:comp/env/jdbc/timetracker</jta-data-source> fails because ENC is not initialized when contextInitialized event occurs. Succeeds if lookup is changed to java:jboss/datasources/ExampleDS which is defined in global JNDI.
