We should not provide the stock JSR-160 transport (RMI) until/unless we have an RMI/JRMP subsystem where RMI as a whole can be configured.  This would, I think, include SSL and so on.

Also we need to make progress on JSR-160 over Remoting, but there should already be an issue for that...
