Looking at the "Project Roadmap" section on http://seamframework.org/Weld, there will be some scheduling issues with this, since an AS CR or Final cant depend on a non-final component (with occasional exceptions for stuff just used in the testsuite.)

7.2 will likely be out before the Weld 2.0 final date shown on that page, and 7.3 may be as well.

That doesn't, of course, mean that work can't proceed.
